RYAN M.

OWNER // MASTER STYLIST + STYLIST

Ryan Mckinley is the proudly passionate owner and top stylist to his namesake, Ryan M Scottsdale (RMS). Working over 20 years in the beauty industry, his journey began at 18 by leaving his hometown of Salt Lake City, Utah with big dreams and a full heart to embark on his beauty career. His acceptance into the esteemed Vidal Sassoon Academy in Santa Monica, California propelled him into the most sought-after assistant program in Beverly Hills where he mentored under Hollywood’s most elite celebrity stylists of the time.

After spending 3 years in California, he moved back home to open his first salon which doubled in size in two years. In 5 years, it was awarded the number one salon in Salt Lake City and featured in New Beauty Magazine as one of the 10 best salons in the USA! During this time Ryan became a platform artist for Tony and Guy as well as educating for some of the best brands in the business.

CADU COSTA

// STYLIST

Carlos Costa (a.k.a Cadu) Is a Brazilian musician who began to play drums in the late ’90s. After enjoying many years of success as a member of the platinum-selling band, Strike, Cadu eventually parted ways amicably with his bandmates and moved to LA in pursuit of new goals. He eventually received his associate of arts degree from the Musicians Institute in Hollywood.

In 2020, Cadu decided to pursue an alternate career path as an outlet for his creative talents. He and his wife moved to Scottsdale and Cadu enrolled in the Toni and Guy Academy to learn the art of styling hair. Upon completion of the program, Cadu began assisting Ryan Mckinley at RMS. During his time working under the master stylist, Cadu has gained vast experience and greatly increased his knowledge of color and cutting techniques. Cadu’s creative energy, perfectionism, and customer relationship skills combine to make him a true artist when it comes to styling hair.

ABBY SWIFT

// STYLIST

Abby Swift an Oklahoma native, in Arizona now for 6 years found a true home at RMS 3 years ago. starting as a receptionist for two years loving the creative environment the salon had to offer she found a true love for the art of hair. She found her way to cosmetology school, backed by full support from her family and the owner himself Ryan. Excelling in the rigorous program at Penrose Academy she quickly became an honor roll student and one of the most requested students at the academy, while still working as a receptionist. once Abby graduated she was welcomed to the team of apprentices at RMS working side by side for over a year with two master stylists and Ryan himself to become the stylist she is now. As a well-rounded artist including men’s cuts, extensions, and modern color techniques she has a lot to bring to the team. With a passion for customer service and enhancing beauty, RMS is happy to welcome their own homegrown stylist Abby Swift.

CHRISTIANA (aka YANA)

Meet Christiana, better known as Yana, an Arizona native of the West Valley. From a young age, Yana has had a passion for hair and making people feel their absolute best. She is an alumnus of Toni and Guy Hairdressing Academy, where her exceptional talent earned her multiple awards and recognition as a standout student.

Yana started at Ryan M in May of 2022, where she diligently honed her craft and mastered our assistant program. She specializes in creating stunning, lived-in, and vivid colors, and precision cutting. Yana takes pride in empowering her clients with the knowledge to maintain their hair's beauty at home.

After training under several master stylists, Yana is thrilled to channel her creativity into crafting beautiful, custom designs here at Ryan M.

CHRISTINE HARRIS

Christine Harris, a Detroit transplant, has edge and tenacity like no one you’ve ever met before. In the beauty industry for 12 years now, she has acquired immense respect for her devotion and aptitude for her craft. Christine specializes in color corrections, updos, extreme braiding & men’s fades. She takes pride in her ability to educate clients so they can recreate her one-of-a-kind looks at home. We are proud to have this extreme talent on our team, look no further than her chair for your curated locks!

OLIVIA ADAMSON

// MASTER STYLIST

A charismatic stylist with small-town roots. Her career began 13 years ago when offered the privilege to work with professional hair photographer Bobby Quillard. This sparked a lifelong journey where she would then attend advanced training classes in New York City. Olivia has truly mastered her craft through this clear dedication to education. Specializing in Global Keratin Treatments, expert coloring, and cutting techniques. Above all else, Olivia takes pride in helping her clients feel loved and understood.

CALLI SUMMER

Calli is a California transplant and has been working in the industry for 8+ years. Her industry experience encompasses an array of skills including being a hairstylist, makeup artist, and esthetician. Her goal for every appointment is to have her clients leave the salon feeling like the best version of themselves. She loves all things color including color corrections, balayage, and creative color. She also specializes in men’s precision cuts and extensions. Calli is really your one-stop shop for all things hair and beauty!

JULIE BAHRMAN

Julie, an Oregon transplant, has a passion for French Cutting and custom color designs. Julie utilizes her knowledge of French Cutting and advanced color techniques to ensure her clients look and feel like the best version of themselves. She takes pride in helping her clients feel confident and self-assured throughout their salon experience. She continues to make her education a priority. She loves to share her education with her guests to ensure they understand the process every step of the way. Julie is also a master at men's fades and formal event styling!

LAUREN SCHULTZ

Lauren, an Arizona Native, finds her greatest joy in making people feel their most beautiful, confident, and best version of themselves. She began pursuing her dream of working at RMS by attending the Penrose Academy. Upon graduation, she trained for a year at the salon under Tara & the Ryan M education team. Throughout that year, she quickly discovered her passion for styling bright blondes, men’s cuts, & short sassy women’s cuts. Lauren’s attention to detail will leave you speechless!

CELINE VOGLINO

From a young age, Celine was a hair and fashion trendsetter dreaming of a career in the beauty industry. Following in her grandfather's footsteps, an international celebrity hairdresser, Celine has spent the last few years establishing herself as a go-to hairstylist. From bouncy curls to vibrant reds and buttery blondes, Celine possesses a masterful talent for all things hair!

TARA ELIA-PERIES

Tara brings over 20 years of experience to the table. Originally from New York, she now brings her craft behind the chair to Arizona. Specializing in haircutting and coloring, Tara stays on top of her career by making ongoing education a priority. She has taken advanced training classes from Bumble & Bumble and Vidal Sassoon. As a former educator for Wella Professional, she loves to provide beautiful hair colors for her clients, as well as teach them how to maintain and recreate the amazing looks she creates. And above all, Tara has a magnetic positive attitude.

KELSEY ELAINE

Having dreamt of doing hair since childhood, Kelsey spent 15 years in the service industry and finally transitioned over to her true passion which is making hair dreams a reality. She has a passion for making people feel beautiful and creating an overall positive experience from start to finish. Customer service is of the highest priority and she truly believes that when you look good you feel good. She wants every client that sits down in her chair to leave feeling their absolute best. She is certified in sew-in beaded weft extensions and tape-in extensions. She has a passion for blondes and lived in colors. Ryan M Scottsdale is her home away from home. She invites you to join the Ryan M family and experience a salon experience like never before!

BROOKE STANLEY

Brooke Stanley’s passion for education and fashion has taken her all over the globe, from London, NYC, California to finally beautiful Scottsdale, Arizona. Brooke knew at a very young age that this line of work was for her when she bravely cut the bangs of her friend. They may have been a bit too short, but the passion was there. Brooke now has over 14 years of experience and continues to train extensively to polish her craft, most recently at an upscale salon in Scottsdale, AZ. With a degree in management and marketing and a concentration in fashion, studied at the prestigious Fashion Institute of Technology in New York City. She studied extensively in London and California learning from the best in the industry while also graduating from the Tony and Guy Academy. Brooke also invests in her craft by staying tuned in to the latest trends and contributing to her industry as a Platform Artist/Educator for Alfaparf Milano. She has also created published looks and styles for major lines such as Aquage for their informational DVDs, industry events, and publications. Brooke also became master certified in Babe Extensions. Her goal is personal transformation inside and out. Helping her clients be true to themselves by elevating their beauty. From the moment you sit in her chair, the journey begins, and when you walk out your confidence will soar because of her artistry, skill, and commitment to her clients. If you’re looking for someone who understands the intricacies of color, she’s the one. We are ecstatic to have Brooke join our salon, and we guarantee you will love her as much as we do!

LINDSEY OLSON

Lindsey Olson has devoted the last decade of her life to the passion of the industry. Her talent blossomed under her apprenticeship with Ryan upon moving to Arizona. She has worked under NAHA winners Shawna Parvin and Luis Alvarez. She specializes in balayage as well as natural, soft colors and cuts. Her glorious charm and wit mixed with the succinct execution of her craft and love for her self-built base of clientele is her key point of difference.

NIKKI LEWIS

// MASTER STYLIST

Nikki brings to the table over 9 years of experience and a genuinely motivated heart for success. Since she first got into hair, education quickly become one of her passions. Learning everything she could and sharing that knowledge with her peers. Nikki has become a master extension specialist and enjoys any sort of color correction (she loves a good challenge) as that seems to be when she acquires the most knowledge. Nikki’s drive to get into hair was to make women feel beautiful, “When we feel beautiful on the outside it radiates into all aspects of our lives”. Every moment she has with her clients she tries to make it special and to make sure their time in her chair is unique. We are so very excited to introduce her as Education Director here at RMS. We cannot wait for her to share all she has with this team.

MARISSA ROBINSON

With more than a decade in the industry, a lifelong passion for styling, and an understanding of all hair types, Marissa is poised to handle your luscious locks. Whether you desire a platinum pixie, the richest of reds, balayage blonde, or precision perfection - she has the experience necessary. Certified with Brazilian Blowout and Hot Heads Hair Extensions.

LYNN FELIX

// MASTER STYLIST

Lynn knew she wanted to do hair since she was 10 years old. She trained with a national salon company and became a master haircutter, stylist, and colorist. The company had her do all the hair for their print media advertising. Featured in Vogue Magazine for a unique color procedure. She attended several European hair academies to bring back and teach new trends. Opened the Salon The Tivoli at the Borgata and several additional Salons. Hair is who she is, and her passion is to bring her clients the latest trends and style techniques for their own unique and individual looks.

SHAY

Mahshid, aka Shay, has always had a passion for the beauty industry. Shay immigrated to the US from Iran in 2009. Even as she pursued a career in nursing and one as a banker specializing in business, Shay continued to dream of working in the beauty industry. She became a cosmetologist and it was the best decision she ever made!

As she learned from master stylists like Tara Elia and Ryan Mckinley, she built her clientele and she is ready to work with you to achieve your goal.

Shay is a passionate artist with a focus on highly textured hair, curly cuts, and editorial styling. Shay is very well rounded and can handle any hair type or style, include amazing men’s cuts. She proudly worked on Arizona Fashion Week and is committed to enhancing beauty through her skill, creativity, and commitment to continuing education.
